Get this Pottery Barn Bathroom for Less!

How amazing is this Pottery Barn bathroom? 

It's gorgeous, but the vanity alone is $2200! Not to mention the fixtures, artwork, textiles, and accessories! So I went on a mission. How could someone recreate this room for less than the price of the Pottery Barn vanity? Well, here it is!

Artwork/Postcards: $10.00

Just buy some Glossy Photo paper (typically $5-$6), 

Google Search for Newport, Sail Boats, or any beachy pictures,

Go to Picnick.com and edit the photos for free to look vintage

Then just print and hang up for the post card effect. 

Check out the Dollar Store and Christmas Tree Shops for inexpensive frames also (typically $1-$3)!

Textiles: $50.00 (Compare to $59.00 for just 3 towels $49.00 for shower curtain)

How's this little set for $50 at Walmart! Includes Better Homes and Gardens Classic Brushed Shower Curtain Hooks, Set of 12 Better Homes and Gardens Classic Stripe 3-Piece Towel Set Better Homes and Gardens Classic Stripe Shower Curtain. 

Light Fixtures: $129 ($59.62 each) (Compare to $189 for one fixture)

Lowes.com has this very similar light fixture for a fraction of the cost!

Vanity: $1099 For everything seen, well minus the basket :) (Compare to $2199 for just the sink console, no faucets! $2598 with faucets!)

This was found through Amazon.com and includes Cabinet with Marble Countertop, Double Ceramic Sinks, and Chrome Faucets!

Bath Accessories: Varies

Amazon.com has this 6 piece set that includes Glass shelf. 24 in towel bar. 18 in towel bar. Bath tissue holder. Towel ring. Robe hook for $54.98 (Compare to $642!)

Baskets can be found at Michael's craft store for about $20 or less and look in your local paper for 40% off coupons every week! (Compare to $59)

I found these bath accessories through Walmart as a set of 3 for $28.00, so I will only compare those 3 on Pottery Barn as well (Compare to $42)



Medicine Cabinet: $140 for 2 (Compare to $229 for one)

So to show the final comparison, here are the totals:
Pottery Barn: $4056.00
My Super Great Findings (Including Artwork): $1523.00 (Please note this is $676 less than the Pottery Barn sink alone!)
Savings: $2533.00!!!


So as you can see, if you just do a little browsing, you can update a room to LOOK top dollar without Spending top dollar. It may take some more time and price comparison, but as you can see the benefit is WELL worth it.
